Weeds were on my mind in March, the nasty little Cardamine oligosperma Nutt. 'Little Western Bittercress', that's pictured in my newspaper column, seems to be gone. Thank goodness! Now I’m keeping an eye out for bindweed. (Click on the underlined links for the articles.)

In April, I wrote about my early experiences with flower arranging. I thought it would be a fun way to preface my upcoming rose arranging seminar. See below.

I’m excited to announce that I’ll be giving a rose arranging seminar at Garden Valley Ranch on May 25th. It will be an extravaganza of fun with roses and rose lovers! We’ll spend the day together, starting with a tour of the gardens, with an eye for harvesting roses. I’ll show you how to make gorgeous arrangements––small, medium, and large. We’ll have a delicious box lunch at umbrella tables, and make hand-tied bouquets. There will also be plenty of time to shop for roses, with suggestions from expert rose growers. I’ll be writing more about it, but save the date. I’d love to see you! Click here for details.

My photoblog is going strong. When you are on the blog, you can click on the photo, or on the PREVIOUS link, for the photos from previous days. Check it out–– 2008 rose photos are starting to fill the pages!
